What Now?

It's a terrible weekend for me, honestly and it doesn't look like it's going to get any better.  The withdrawals are getting bad.  My hands shake, I'm irritable and just lack energy.  Prone to fits of crying, when asked what's wrong, all I can do is sob....there's no footballlllllll !!!!  My husband can only hold me and suggest that I seek therapy and my daughter (who happened to have come home once again to do her laundry and hit me up for money) is wishing she's back at school right now.

So as I stumble around the house, trying to figure out just what to do (no, I haven't gotten desperate enough to clean that garage just yet), I hear the family whispering "don't worry"..."there's the Pro Bowl"...I yell out..."It won't be the same, Hines won't be in the endzone dancing the hula this year".  They were shocked, they didn't think I could hear them.  They'd be amazed at what I can hear now with my hearing aid in.  (Don't let me forget to remind my daughter that it may not be a wise idea to tell her friends that Mom's feeble, at least on the phone at the house)

Alright, so I've walked off my excessive energy, as well as submitted myself to the torture of Tae Bo.  I've browsed the sports news.  I could get into Penguin hockey, they're doing well this year and I can keep an eye on the Pirates, they did make it to the playoffs last year, didn't they?  I'll admit, I'm a die hard football fan.  When it comes to hockey and baseball I'm strictly a Penguins and Pirates fan when they're winning (yeah I'll admit it, I'm one of THOSE types of fans for those sports).  Apparently I'm not even good at being THAT type of fan, since I guess both teams have had a few good years in the past.

Okay, so now I'm bored.  I did happen to mention that me being bored is a very dangerous thing.  Now my daughters eyes are wide open with fear and her voice trembles ... "Mom, how about baking cookies..."  Guess I know what I'm doing this weekend.

Guess ya'll figured out by now that I'm leading up to my weekly recipe.  This weeks recipe is my husbands favorite cookie.

                                                                         Chocolate Chocolate Chip Cookies

                                                                                 (nope, not a typo)
